Site of the 2010 Winter Olympic games, Whistler, British Columbia is a great little ski town in southwestern Canada. A secluded village in the middle of wilderness it has a large and healthy population of black bears in the area. Blackcomb mountain visible here across the valley in early fall gets its first fresh powder dump up in the alpine region of the mountain. There are great hiking trails in summer both in the valley as well as in the alpine for the summer visitors.
